Caythorpe Cricket Club Chair Jon Lane has taken the decision to resign from his role with immediate effect, this follows shortly on from the resignation of Shaun Finn as Vice-Chair in April. The club would like to thank both members for their time and efforts in fulfilling their roles.

In particular the club would like to thank Jon, who was in his 5th year as Chair, whereby he had led the club through National Lockdowns and our safe return to cricket, and had overseen a range of significant improvements at the club. These include, but are not limited to, new sightscreens on both pitches, the installation of a new digital scoreboard on the back, and the expansion to 5 Saturday Senior cricket sides.

In these circumstances, a Special General Meeting (SGM) will be held at the Clubhouse at Caythorpe CC, Wednesday 4th June 2025 and 19.00 Hours. It is hoped that all playing and non-playing members of the club will attend. The objective of the SGM is to elect the following officers:

Any 2 members may propose candidates by notice in writing via email to the secretary (secretary@caythorpecc.org), at least 14 days before the SGM (i.e. by 21st May), in accordance with the club rules.
